Settings

In Co-Designer, the Settings tab plays a significant role in planning process of a floorplan and the options located under this tab set general guidelines and regulations that are applied across floor. These can be further customized in the Floor plan.

The user can switch back and forth between the Floorplan and the Settings tab to update iterations on the floorplate.

When the LENS-tool is ON the user can play with the Culture LENS in the drop-down menu and view the changes on the floorplate. In Culture LENS-tool, there are four types of application styles, namely: Collaborate, Create, Control & Compete. The user can determine the ratios between the styles by dragging the circular points towards the desired styles.

And when the LENS-tool is OFF, the user can create iterations on the types of furniture sets & patterns manually.

Project Information

In the Project Information tab, the user can input the vital information of the project. The information that can be included is the Client Name, Project Manager Name, required E-mail address, Phone-Number, Industry (Project Type), Country (Project Location), and Additional Notes that you think might prove essential later. These details play a major role in organizing the project and establishing points of contact.

Clearance and Spacing

In Clearances & Spacing tab, the user can set the clearance spaces for the walkable paths, the space between the working desks and so on. The first option in Clearances & Spacing is Working Depth, where the user can define the depth of the work zone for a single work desk. The Walk Distance number determines the distance between the wall and the work chairs. The Walk Distance back-to-back estimates the pathway width between the work desk, and lastly, the Clearance to façade determines the space between the wall & the work desk.

Clearances and Spacing is where the most important settings and rules for the distances between the individual workplaces and the entire floor plan are defined. Changing the values effects the entire floor plan.

The information icon located next to the Clearances & Spacing header, is a drop-down window explaining the terms used in the Clearances & Spacing tab.
